For many people, the first bag they ever made was a knapsack they learned about in home economics class. At the time, it was a pattern of their favorite character, but as they grew older and more sensible, they made a tasteful bag out of leather. Of course, you can carry it on your back as a knapsack, but it's also great to wear just one strap across your body like a bon sack. There is a handle on the inside of the opening, so it can also be used as a tote bag.
