A fashion and culture magazine by Christopher Niquet, a French editor, writer and stylist based in New York. Each issue focuses on the opinions and works of one artist, photographer, talent, and writer. Christopher Niquet has worked behind the scenes for designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Lacroix and Anna Molinari, and has been featured in Vanity Fair.magazine, editor of ELLE Francemagazine andstylist ofSelf Service magazine.
The art direction ishandled by the creative agency "Petronio Associates" led by Ezra Petronio, editor-in-chief of " Self Service ". Each issue has a different design as a collector's item for people who love fashion, art, and books.
The third issue focuses on French photographer Romain Laprade and looks through the lens of Senegal's capital, Dakar. Christopher Niquet has long been fascinated by the compositional yet free-flowing work of Romain Laprade. After several fruitless months of deciding on a particular architectural theme for the project, the duo began by exploring the city. In the summer of 2022, the artist will stay in Dakar for several days, first exploring the places he chose while in Paris, where he is based, and gradually following his intuition and exploring the charm of the city with his own feet, spending many days. I took pictures of the building. The resulting image is a silent homage to a place full of architectural wonders and wonders. In this issue, the artist captures the eclectic beauty of West African metropolises, such as the facades of buildings and private residences. Drawn as a portrait.
This work will be published in conjunction with an exhibition held at the Paris gallery " Yvon Lambert" , and will cover 100 pages of Dakar.
In addition, Julien Martinez Leclerc, a fashion/portrait photographer based in Paris, and Charlotte Collet, a stylist and fashion editor, collaborated with Parisians from the Senegalese diaspora. Spotlighting, 36 pages of fashion stories are shown in black-and-white photographs.
