A collection of works by American photographer Paige Powell. The artist left Portland, Oregon for New York in 1980 and quickly became a member of the downtown art scene. He was one of Andy Warhol's entourage, and had a particularly close relationship with him.

He got acquainted with Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat, who were loved by Warhol, and even dated Basquiat. I photographed what was happening around me every day, capturing irreplaceable moments in the art, culture and nightlife movements of the late 20th century.

He continued to observe and document the golden age of avant-garde culture in New York in the 1980s. This limited-edition hardcover photo book, sponsored by Gucci and published by DASHWOOD BOOKS, chronicles culturally significant events in 1980s New York City from Harlem to the East Village to Soho. It consists of a series of three books that summarize the works from different points of view, and one book that draws the portrait of the author. Art direction by Nathanial Kilcer and editing by Kim Hastreiter. Published by American publisher DASHWOOD BOOKS under the auspices of GUCCI.

BEULAH LAND contains images from a visual diary installation exhibited in 1984 at the art space, bar and lounge of the same name on Avenue A and 10th Street in the East Village.

" ANIMALS " is based on the theme that the author, who was an animal lover, cherished.

In ARTISTS EATING , Page documented this subject thoroughly.

In addition, the appendix " PAIGE POWELL " contains many rare and unpublished images, and approaches the personality and life of the author.
