The origin of the name "New Balance" means "to bring a sense of 'new' and 'balance' to the wearer."

In the 1960s, we started manufacturing custom-made running shoes based on our know-how as a manufacturer of corrective shoes, which is possible only with a deep understanding of anatomical knowledge of the foot, orthopedic surgery, and exercise physiology.

Since then, while inheriting the tradition, we have gathered the latest technology to develop shoes that pursue better fit.
