【LAMROF】MOUTON BOMBER JACKET "SYLVESTER" BY GOOD KARMA - BLACK

As the final delivery for the 2026 Autumn/Winter season, Lamrof introduces the "Mouton Bomber Jacket ＜SYLVESTER＞," a collaboration with GOOD KARMA DEVELOPMENT that serves as the centerpiece of this season's collection.

This bomber jacket is crafted by adapting the MA-1 silhouette to mouton, one of the materials that defines GOOD KARMA DEVELOPMENT. Made using luxurious, top-grade Australian suede mouton, this piece combines the raw, natural aesthetic characteristic of GOOD KARMA DEVELOPMENT with the elegant sensibility that Lamrof excels at, resulting in a garment unique to both brands.

Lamrof designer Daisuke Sakamoto had long envisioned a mouton MA-1 as an "outerwear with strength." He reached out to GOOD KARMA DEVELOPMENT, a brand known for its iconic use of mouton, as the ideal partner. Meanwhile, GOOD KARMA DEVELOPMENT designer Toru Tachibana had personally purchased Lamrof garments due to his interest in African culture. A mutual appreciation for each other's craftsmanship and character led to this collaboration.

"I studied the worldview that GOOD KARMA DEVELOPMENT expresses and added a touch of Lamrof's 'elegance' to it. I made sure the base respected the form of an MA-1, incorporated GOOD KARMA's elements, and then subtracted using Lamrof's elegance at the end. I believe I was able to strike that balance quite well," says Sakamoto.

The cuffs, hem, front, arm pocket flaps, and back feature raw-edge finishing that utilizes the natural edges of the leather. By using external stitching that reveals the shearling on the seams—including the shoulders, sleeves, and side panels—each individual piece takes on a distinct expression. The hem, which proved the most difficult part of production, features a complex construction where raw leather edges are layered over the ribbing, accentuating the presence of the mouton while maintaining the rounded silhouette unique to the MA-1.

This piece is reversible; turning it inside out reveals the full surface of the mouton fleece, offering a completely different aesthetic. It features a pocket structure accessible from both sides and is equipped with a No. 10 reversible zipper from WALDES.

Mouton is a material that softens with wear, with stretching and minor staining becoming part of its character over time. Whether worn true to size or oversized, the jacket is designed with the hope that it will mold to the wearer's body and take on their personal touch.

The name "SYLVESTER" is derived from Sylvester Stewart, the birth name of Sly Stone, who led Sly & The Family Stone. He is a figure who has long influenced Mr. Sakamoto not only through his music but also through his styling and use of color.

Sakamoto felt a connection between Sly Stone's style and the natural edge of GOOD KARMA DEVELOPMENT, which led to the naming of this model. Choosing not to cater to the mass market but instead to create what they personally find cool—this shared philosophy of the two independent brands shaped the contours of the "SYLVESTER."
