The original graphic is inspired by the Black Panther Party, a political organization believed to have carried on the legacy of Malcolm X, and a symbolic presence in the Black liberation movement of the 1960s that sought rights and social justice for African Americans. The graphic incorporates the ephemeral nature of the party, which, despite its various approaches and astonishing power in the counterculture of the time, disappeared in just 10 years.

The words "Black Panther" are expressed in Arabic, a uniquely Lamrof expression that differentiates it from the original designs of the time.

The silk screen print features a hand-scratched effect, and fading and damage processing for an aged look, resulting in a piece with a distinct character.
