While kimonos are traditionally tailored flat, this piece achieves a three-dimensional silhouette by incorporating pleats and straps on the front, and increasing the number of seams through a panel pattern construction.

The material chosen is a densely woven cotton-nylon blend, which has been processed to remove stiffness and create puckering, giving it a worn-in appearance.
