A piece reimagined by ANCELLM with contemporary specs, drawing functional design inspiration from the riders' coats adopted for military use in 1940s Britain.

We have removed the weight and stiffness of the fabric’s original ruggedness and opted for Supima cotton, touted as some of the finest in the world. By weaving fine extra-long staple cotton at a high density, we have created a material with supple firmness and comfortable lightness. We intentionally used processing to remove the silk-like luster inherent to Supima, resulting in a deep, refined appearance while maintaining its elegance.

While stripping back details for a simpler expression, we have reconstructed the garment with careful balance, preserving iconic elements such as the large chest pocket originally used for storing letters and the asymmetrical chest patch.

The lining features an original flannel, and the large neck strap is designed to be stowable, showing our attention even to the hidden details.

The deep slits in the well-draping A-line silhouette allow the fabric to move beautifully with your stride, so please be sure to move around when trying it on.
