[WOLFGANG TILLMANS] SOUND IS LIQUID

A collection of works by Wolfgang Tillmans, a German photographer based in London and Germany who won the Turner Prize, one of the most important awards in the contemporary art world, in 2000.

It was published in conjunction with an exhibition at the 'Mumok – Museum moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien' in Austria from November 27, 2021 to April 24, 2022. In addition to early photographic works produced in the pop culture world of the 1990s, this exhibition presents abstract images, high-resolution photographs of the globalized and digitalized reality of the early 21st century, and novel coronavirus infections. Exhibited photos taken just before and during the pandemic caused by disease.

In addition, the two-channel video installation " Book for Architects " and the album " Moon in Earthlight " are introduced as sound and video installations. This book includes a photographic record of the installation at the exhibition, along with the work, and a detailed essay on the artist's activities. As with past collections, it will be designed by the author himself.
