The fabric is the first in Japan to be authorized as a regular production factory for military uniform fabrics, and after the war Japan Self-Defense Forces and the Japan Coast Guard have been supplying "water resistant clothing" to the factory for a long time.

By using 100% Giza cotton from Egypt and increasing the number of stitches to the limit, the fibers expand when the fabric is soaked in water, making it a "super water repellent" fabric that makes it impermeable to water.
